Who we are
About the service
Hafilattopup is an independent online helper for hafilat card holders in Abu Dhabi. We make a bus card recharge quicker to request — nothing more, nothing hidden.
Everyday travel in Abu Dhabi runs on the hafilat card — the contactless smart card you tap to pay a fare when you board a bus. Like any stored-value card, it needs topping up when the balance runs low. The usual way to do that is at a machine or a point of sale, which is fine when one is nearby and you have time to queue. It is less convenient when you are already running for a bus, when the nearest machine is out of the way, or when you simply want to sort it out from your phone before you leave the house.
Hafilattopup exists to close that small gap. We are an independent online service: you open the recharge page, read the card number printed on your hafilat card, type it in, choose how much you want added in AED, and send the request. A person on our Abu Dhabi-based team reviews it and contacts you to arrange payment and confirm the top-up. There is no account to create and no app to install — a browser is all you need.
What we are — and what we are not
We want to be clear about this from the start. We are not the transport authority, and we are not affiliated with any government body or with the operator of the hafilat card. We do not issue cards, set fares or run the ticketing network. What we do is take the hassle out of requesting a recharge: we collect your card number and the amount you want, then handle the legwork of arranging that top-up on your behalf. Any service fee that applies is explained by the manager before you agree to pay, so there are no surprises.
How we handle your details
We ask for as little as possible. To process a request we need your hafilat card number, the amount you want and an email address so we can reach you; a phone number is optional if you would rather have a call back. Card numbers for payment are never entered on this website — when it is time to pay, the manager arranges that with you directly. Your information is used to complete the top-up you asked for and to answer any questions you send us. You can read the full detail on our privacy policy page.
Why people use us
Most people come to us for one simple reason: it saves a trip. Instead of finding a machine and standing in line, a bus card recharge becomes a short request you can send in a minute from anywhere. The service is bilingual, so you can work in English or Arabic, and support is handled by a small team based in Abu Dhabi who know the city and the card. If something is not right — a top-up that has not shown up, or a question about an amount — you reach a person, not a queue of automated menus.
Getting in touch
If you would like to ask something before you send a request, or you want an update on one you have already sent, the contacts page lists every way to reach us — email, WhatsApp and phone — along with our support hours and registered address in Abu Dhabi. We read every message and aim to reply the same day during working hours.
